The price at K2.50 or K3.00 per kilo from the sales of Cocoa at farmers

The price at K2.50 or K3.00 per kilo from the sales of Cocoa at farmers level is not enough. Our 3000 Cocoa trees in the village, put together with my clan is about 2O,000 trees.

The labor intensive work required in harvesting Cocoa in such a harsh geographical terrain along the Alexander Range is exhausting our farmers blo yumi long displa area. Establishing "Down Stream Production line" will help simple farmers na hausline blo m long benefit more in terms of Price to gain more in terms of purchasing power. We can achieve that aspiration by encouraging and Establishing" Down Stream Production". Simple farmers can benefit more in terms of price where;

1. It will remove the middle person of which farmers will gain more
2. Farmers can earn more from Cocoa by extracting the beans and Cocoa butter.

AROB has backed and promoted their finest product "Queen Emma" na mipla tu laikim yumi wok bung olsem na makim kamapim wok.

We have to mitigate inflation hence considering this option in the best interest of our farmers to enable them to rip maximum benefit.

Farmers have the land and the Cocoa, we just need the right market or Establishment of Down Stream Production to realize and maximize benefits from harvesting Cocoa.
